About Us:

Toddler Town, LLC, first opened its doors on March 25, 2002.  Marylou Curtin, Director/Owner of the center, is a former Vice President of a large, commercial bank with over thirty years experience in Human Resources.  Once she retired from banking she spent the following year completing the application for Toddler town, writing a business plan, and (with considerable assistance from family and friends) completely remodeled the former East End Post Office into a 4300 square foot day care center with space for eight Infants (ages 6 weeks to 1 year), eight Toddlers (ages 1 to 2 years), eight Young Twos (2 to 2 1/2 years), eight Older Twos (ages 2 1/2 to 3 years), and twenty-four Preschool children (ages 3 to 5 years).

Toddler Town offers full-time childcare as well as educational programs.  Toddler Town is staffed primarily by teachers working with young children.  Drawing on their creativity, our teachers make Toddler Town's weekly themes come alive in the daily lesson plans. 

While we are considered a small center (our capacity is only 56 children), we offer the same amenities found in corporate chains, without the "arms length" mentality.  The Director/Owner is Waterbury born and bred who lives within one mile of the center and who you will find at Toddler Town every day of the week.  Toddler Town is not just a job to the owner - it's her life!!  When asked what she felt best summarized what Toddler Town had to offer potential (as well as existing clients), she said, "We are very proud of the reputation that we have in the Greater Waterbury community as being a child-friendly and family-oriented center.  We offer our families a safe, clean, caring, nurturing, comfortable and enriching environment.  We work hand-in-hand with families to support each child's healthy growth and development by sharing the learning and excitement your child experiences at Toddler Town every day.
